Waukee Grad Inducted Into Iowa Volunteer Hall Of Fame

Maanya Pandey, a Waukee High School graduate, has been inducted into the Iowa Volunteer Hall of Fame for her impactful volunteer work. The Waukee Community School District shared a photo of Pandey with Lieutenant Governor Chris Cournoyer after Pandey received the honor.

Love for Red Initiative

Pandey founded Love for Red, an organization that provides free feminine hygiene products across Iowa, five years ago. Her initiative now supports all secondary schools in the Waukee district and more than 170 schools statewide.

Pandey graduated from Waukee High School in 2022 and currently attends the University of Iowa as a pre-med student.
