A beloved landmark in the nation’s capital is celebrating a major milestone. The Washington D.C. Temple Visitors’ Center recently marked its 50th anniversary, commemorating five decades of welcoming guests and serving the broader community.
As part of the golden anniversary celebration, the Visitors’ Center presented the JustServe Hero Award to the governor — a recognition that highlights outstanding volunteer service and community-minded leadership. The JustServe program connects volunteers with local nonprofits and service organizations, making the award a meaningful tribute to those who give back.
The milestone is a testament to the enduring role the Visitors’ Center has played in Washington, D.C., both as a place of faith and as a hub for community outreach and service over the past half century.
