Wallace has cited three reasons she believes she can win the race: Meuser’s lack of residency in the district, the cost of living, and grassroots momentum. Her campaign has raised just under $750,000 so far, and she has polled at 55% among those surveyed in an internal campaign poll.

Health Care and Local Issues

Wallace has also spoken about health care, pointing to the recent federal reconciliation legislation and the expiration of Affordable Care Act subsidies. She believes these changes will strip health coverage from tens of thousands of district residents over the coming year.

Wallace has expressed opposition to a national permitting framework for data center infrastructure, arguing it would strip local communities of control over such projects. She supports federal legislation that would guarantee local communities access to information and a voice in these decisions.
