Some key candidates vying for office in the recent May 19th General Primary and the June 16th Primary Runoff, have officially voiced their concerns to the Secretary of State’s office, to the media, and on their Social Media posts, regarding the impact of certain procedures currently in place that have diminished, or in most cases, disenfranchised legal voters.
Concerns Raised
Candidates, including Dr. Dionne Hoskins-Brown, Joyce Griggs, and Amanda Hollowell, have raised concerns over several issues, including inconsistency in reported totals for early voters, timely mailing of absentee ballots, and the counting of absentee ballots within the short 3-day period.
These concerns highlight the need for an active investigation into these discrepancies, with the results made known to the public. The Legislative Delegation should be actively involved in getting answers and coming up with laws that address these discrepancies.
