Beverly Vance Aikins, the mother of Vice President JD Vance, will share her experience with addiction and recovery during a special service at Sanctuary Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Seven Recovery Service
The service, which is part of the church’s Seven Recovery ministry, will take place on July 31 at 6:30 p.m. Aikins will discuss her journey with addiction, forgiveness, rebuilding relationships, and finding hope through recovery.
Aikins struggled with an addiction to prescription pain medication, which later led to the use of other substances. She eventually entered recovery with the support of her faith and community. Her story has been an inspiration to many, and she has spoken to recovery groups, churches, treatment centers, and other organizations across the country.
Sanctuary Church Pastor Kenneth O’Connell said, “What an amazing thing it is to see a testimony of recovery. At Seven Recovery at Sanctuary, we believe in restoration. Beverly’s journey is a reminder to all of us that real change is possible when we look to Jesus.”
Seven Recovery is a ministry for people experiencing hurts, habits, and hang-ups. The ministry holds regular meetings on Tuesday evenings, starting with a meal at 5:45 p.m. and a large-group meeting at 6:30 p.m.
