Police in Vermont are looking for a woman who reportedly pulled another woman’s eye out during a fight earlier this week. The incident occurred in the area of Hartford Town Hall around 10 p.m. Monday.
Responding officers found one of the women suffering from a serious injury to her left eye. The woman told police that during the altercation, 36-year-old Megan Naylor pulled her hair and struck her in the face before placing a finger into her eye socket and pulling outward, causing the eye to be displaced from the socket.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire for treatment. She was unable to open her injured eye, and police said the extent of any permanent damage was not immediately known.
Police said Naylor is believed to have fled into Lebanon, New Hampshire, following the assault. Hartford police are seeking an extraditable warrant charging her with aggravated assault.
