Vancouver, WA marked a major national milestone this week with a free daylong festival at the historic Fort Vancouver site, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States of America.

The event, organized by the City of Vancouver, gave community members of all ages a chance to gather at one of the region’s most storied landmarks and join in the nationwide Semiquincentennial festivities — no admission required.
