Vice President JD Vance stated that the Trump administration ‘absolutely screwed up the comms’ around the Jeffrey Epstein files. In a recent podcast episode, Vance emphasized that the administration should have released all information immediately.
Epstein Investigation
Vance pointed to the ‘original sin’ of the Epstein investigation, which he believes dates back to 2007 and 2008. He argued that the investigation was ‘way too narrow’ and faulted former US Attorney Alex Acosta for negotiating a controversial plea deal with Epstein.
Vance also discussed theories surrounding Epstein’s connections to intelligence agencies, stating that Epstein ‘clearly had connections to the highest levels of American intelligence’ and ‘the highest levels of Israeli intelligence.’ He mentioned the possibility of Epstein being part of Israel’s Mossad spy agency or the CIA.
Regarding President Donald Trump’s role in releasing the Epstein files, Vance defended the president, saying that Trump ‘could have killed’ the congressional effort to compel the Justice Department to release the files if he had wanted to.
