Va Bene, an Italian eatery in Prairie Village’s Corinth Square, will close at the end of the month. The restaurant made the announcement on its social media accounts, expressing gratitude to the community for their support since opening in 2020.
Reason for Closure
The reason for the closure is due to an issue with the lease with Corinth Square owner First Washington. Despite efforts to extend the terms, Va Bene was unable to come to an agreement.
Va Bene is a concept from W. VinZant Restaurants, owned by Kansas City-area restaurateur Whitney VinZant. The restaurant is known for its fresh-made pastas and entrees, as well as its full bar menu of original cocktails.
Although Va Bene is closing, some of its popular dishes will live on at other VinZant-owned restaurants, including Louie’s Wine Dive and Gram & Dun.
