USMNT Faces Turkiye in Group Play

The US Men’s National Team is set to face Turkiye Thursday night at Los Angeles Stadium, the same place they beat Paraguay 4-1 when the tournament started a little over a week ago.

Recent Performance

The USMNT has scored 6 goals in two group stage games and has only allowed a single goal to Paraguay. In their last game, the USMNT beat Australia 2-0 without Christian Pulisic in the lineup. Texas-native and former FC Dallas striker Ricardo Pepi stepped into the lineup for Pulisic.

The US side dominated possession and maintained its first clean sheet on defense in 10 games. The USMNT will play its round-of-32 game on Wednesday, July 1, at 7 p.m. CST in Santa Clara, California. The opponent is still to be determined by the remainder of group stage play.
