Adams, born in Poughkeepsie and raised in Wappinger Falls, has been a lifelong Knicks fan. He celebrated the team’s win with his teammates, jumping onto a sofa and over pillows in their hotel room.

But Adams draws inspiration from the Knicks’ improbable run, saying, ‘I mean, it’s pretty captivating… Them being kind of the underdog coming out of the East and doing something special, as they’re doing right now? I mean, I take inspiration from that.’
