Urban Alchemy Worker Injured in Shooting at UC Law Campus in San Francisco

An Urban Alchemy worker was shot on Friday afternoon at the UC Law campus located in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district. The incident took place around 3:30 p.m., according to reports from Mission Local.

The victim was seen conscious as he was transported from the university’s Cotchett Center to an ambulance. Police quickly cordoned off the area, and several Urban Alchemy workers were observed moving towards the intersection of Golden Gate and Hyde streets.

A paramedic at the scene confirmed that the worker had been shot, although details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear. Urban Alchemy spokesperson Jess Montejano, when contacted for information, indicated that the team was still trying to understand what had transpired.

By 3:45 p.m., the scene had mostly cleared, with only a few officers remaining to block the entrance to the building and conduct an investigation. Officers with flashlights were seen examining the heavy-duty metal gate at the entrance to the university complex.

As of now, the police have not provided any additional comments on the incident. This is a developing story, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
