Starting July 1, fans attending events at the University of Kentucky’s Kroger Field will benefit from significantly reduced concession prices, thanks to a new partnership with Compass Group. This change is part of a broader enterprise services agreement with the global food service and hospitality company.
Significant Price Reductions
The University of Kentucky has announced that concession prices for core menu items will be reduced by 20% to 40%, while domestic beer prices will see a 50% cut. Under the new pricing structure, fans can purchase a 12-ounce beer for just $5. Other popular items such as hot dogs, pretzels, nachos, chicken baskets, and beverages like soda and water will also see price drops.
This initiative marks a significant shift for the university, which previously collaborated with Aramark for its campus dining and concession services. The transition to Compass Group is part of a phased rollout of services across the university’s venues.
A New Era for UK Athletics
The partnership with Compass Group is expected to enhance the overall experience for fans attending games and events at Kroger Field. By making concessions more affordable, the university aims to attract more attendees and create a more enjoyable atmosphere for supporters of Kentucky Athletics.
