Ukrainian drones struck the Moscow region overnight on Sunday, killing at least one person, according to the provincial governor, Andrei Vorobyov. The attack, which targeted several sites, including a warehouse belonging to Russia’s largest online retailer, Wildberries, also injured several people.
Details of the Attack
The drones struck the warehouse in the town of Podolsk, approximately 45 km south of Moscow. The warehouse was reportedly handling military goods, which Ukraine has been targeting in recent weeks as part of its efforts to damage Russian economic infrastructure.
Russia’s Defence Ministry reported that it had downed 822 Ukrainian drones throughout the country. The attack on the Moscow region is considered one of the largest to have targeted the area.
