The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has launched an investigation into Microsoft over concerns that the company may have misled personal and family customers when marketing its Microsoft 365 subscription plans.
The probe will examine whether Microsoft provided customers with clear information about the plans and the differences in cost, particularly with regards to the addition of its AI assistant Copilot to Microsoft 365 subscriptions.
Investigation Details
According to the CMA, the investigation will focus on whether customers were given key information about the plans and the difference in cost to understand the options available to them before making a decision.
