Alison Lee and Lauren Coughlin have been selected to anchor the United States’ Saturday morning foursomes at the Solheim Cup. The pair will face England’s Charley Hull and Lottie Woad in the final match of the session.

Lee was the only player from either side to finish Friday with a perfect 2‑0‑0 record. She and Coughlin won their Friday morning foursomes against Denmark’s Nanna Koerstz Madsen and France’s Celine Boutier, 3 and 2, and Lee later helped Megan Khang secure a 5‑and‑3 victory in four‑ball against the same opponents.

Hull and Woad, two of Europe’s top competitors, managed only a half‑point across both Friday sessions. Europe, however, saw contributions from ten of its twelve players, with only Koerstz Madsen and Boutier failing to earn at least a half‑point.

Saturday’s lineup

The day opens with World No. 1 Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz taking on Sweden’s Maja Stark and Linn Grant. Korda and Corpuz defeated Hull and Woad 4 and 3 in Friday’s foursomes, while Grant and Stark beat Rose Zhang and Jennifer Kupcho 3‑and‑2.

The second match will pit Zhang and Kupcho against Ireland’s Leona Maguire and Germany’s Esther Henseleit. The third match features Auston Kim and Andrea Lee against European rookies Mimi Rhodes of England and Nastasia Nadaud of France.

U.S. sideline support includes Angel Yin, Yealimi Noh, Lindy Duncan and Megan Khang. Europe’s bench will feature Koerstz Madsen, Boutier and Spaniards Carlota Ciganda and Julia Lopez Ramirez, who will have the morning off.

Following the foursomes, Saturday’s afternoon will host another four‑ball session, and Sunday will conclude with 12 singles matches to decide the champion.

The United States needs 10 more points to retain the Solheim Cup or 10½ to win outright. The last U.S. victory on European soil came in 2015.
