Minnesota Twins star center fielder Byron Buxton exited Sunday’s game against the host New York Yankees after the first inning due to re-aggravation of a previous hip injury.
Buxton reached on an infield single and was thrown out trying to steal second base while Kody Clemens struck out. He was replaced by rookie Kyler Fedko.
Buxton is hitting .271 with 25 homers and 45 RBIs in 75 games this season and was named as a starter to the American League All-Star team on Saturday. This is his third All-Star nod.
