Twin Town Glass, based in South Paris, has announced the installation of insulated glass units in Norway, Maine. The service covers the supply and installation of sealed multi-pane glass units for residential windows in the Norway area.
Insulated Glass Units
Insulated glass units, also known as IGUs, consist of two or more panes of glass separated by a spacer and sealed around the perimeter. This design reduces heat transfer between a building’s interior and the outdoors, resulting in steadier indoor temperatures and energy efficiency.
Beyond temperature control, sealed insulated units also reduce outside noise and condensation on interior glass. Units are produced in double- and triple-pane configurations, and some include low-emissivity coatings or insulating gas fills to improve thermal performance.
The Norway service also covers insulated glass unit replacement for windows whose sealed units have failed or fogged over time. In a replacement, an existing unit is exchanged for a new factory-sealed assembly that restores clarity and insulating performance.
Twin Town Glass operates from 217 Main St. in South Paris and also provides custom shower doors and enclosures, custom mirrors, glass railings, storefront and commercial glass, window replacement, and mobile auto glass service.
