According to Twin Falls spokesperson Josh Palmer, city, county, and state authorities responded to the active shooter report around 2:30 p.m. A shelter-in-place order was lifted, and roads were reopened as the investigation continued.
People in the area were bussed to the Twin Falls County Courthouse to provide their accounts of the incident. The Twin Falls Police Department advised individuals to stay away from the affected area, which includes multiple major retailers and a movie theater complex.
A nearby Chick-fil-A closed as a precaution, and the Magic Valley Mall was placed on lockdown. The In-N-Out location, which opened on July 24, was the site of the incident.
