Northwest Austin’s Arboretum district is set to welcome a new dining destination this fall. Tumble 22, the Texas‑grown hot‑chicken brand, announced a November 7 grand opening for its latest location, bringing its signature spicy chicken and full‑service bar to the community.
Menu highlights
The restaurant’s flagship hand‑held, called The O.G., features a choice of crispy or grilled chicken, crunchy coleslaw, bread‑and‑butter pickles and mayo. Guests can also order chicken tenders, bite‑size pieces or bone‑in portions, with heat levels ranging from “painless” to “stupid hot.”
House‑made sides include mac‑and‑cheese, broccoli salad, collard greens, barbecue beans, coleslaw and fries. Tumble 22 offers a selection of dipping sauces such as ranch, hot honey, honey mustard, Maria’s BBQ and comeback sauce. For dessert, the menu features an assortment of pies, including key lime, buttermilk, chocolate cream and peanut‑butter chocolate mousse.
Full bar and specialty drinks
In addition to its food offerings, Tumble 22 operates a full bar. Patrons can enjoy classic cocktails like the paloma, margarita, bloody Mary, Moscow mule and an adult lemonade, providing a complete dining experience for families and friends.
Brand background
The Tumble 22 concept began in 2016 as an Austin food trailer. Over the past decade the brand has expanded to nine locations across Texas, including Pflugerville, Houston, San Marcos, Round Rock and Cedar Park. The new Arboretum spot marks the brand’s first foray into Northwest Austin.
Grand‑opening promotion
To celebrate the launch, the first 75 guests who visit the Arboretum location on opening day will receive a free The O.G. sandwich each month for a year, according to the press release.
Future expansion
Tumble 22’s president, Avid Noble, said the company is “thrilled to bring Tumble 22 to Northwest Austin and the Arboretum area. This is a dynamic community that we’ve had our eye on for some time, and we’re excited for the opportunity to become part of it.” The brand also announced plans for an additional Austin location on South Lamar in 2027, continuing its growth trajectory within the city.
Residents of Northwest Austin can look forward to a new family‑friendly dining option that blends bold flavors with a comfortable atmosphere, reinforcing the area’s reputation as a vibrant hub for local businesses.
