Tucker Carlson Leaves Republican Party
Tucker Carlson, a longtime conservative commentator, has announced that he will no longer support the Republican Party. In a recent podcast appearance, Carlson stated that ‘there’s no chance I would support the Republican Party’ ahead of the November midterm elections.
Carlson’s Disillusionment
Carlson’s disillusionment with the party stems from President Donald Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran in February. Carlson had previously supported Trump in 2024 but later apologized for his support, saying he had ‘misled people’. He has since criticized the war, arguing that it was fought at the behest of Israel at the expense of Americans.
Carlson also attacked the party for failing to represent its own voters, citizens, and nation. He claimed that the party’s decisions are based on ‘other criteria’, such as what’s best for companies, Israel, and donors, rather than what’s best for the American people. Carlson described these actions as ‘treasonous’, ‘immoral’, and ‘unacceptable’.
