President Donald Trump announced Sunday that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will soon step down from his position. Trump took to Truth Social to share the rumor regarding the 63-year-old Labour leader, who has led the UK government since July 2024.
Political Pressure Mounts
The momentum against Starmer grew rapidly following the Tuesday release of the “Rape Gang Inquiry Report” by Restore Britain Member of Parliament Rupert Lowe. The report alleges that 250,000 girls were victims of sexual assault by Muslim grooming gangs in the United Kingdom. Because Starmer formerly served as the head of the Crown Prosecution Service, the political fallout has focused heavily on his past oversight.
Lowe’s report states that “predominantly Muslim Pakistani gangs across towns and cities throughout the United Kingdom” engaged in the “systematic targeting” of mostly white girls. The document further claims, “Across Britain, clear evidence of organized abuse by Pakistani gangs, among other majority-Muslim ethnic groups, was ignored because confronting it risked accusations of racism.”
Speculation about Starmer’s future also intensified after Andy Burnham won a recent by-election. Burnham secured the victory after openly promising to launch an intra-party challenge to Starmer’s leadership from within the Labour Party.
