Conspiracy Theories Resurface

The report asserts that contemporary US social conflicts, such as the Black Lives Matter movement and protests against the Vietnam War, can be linked to Cuban influence. However, these claims are not supported by new evidence and are based on old conspiracy theories that have been debunked in the past.

The report’s claims are reminiscent of the 1960s, when rumors spread that Cuban communists were engaged in the US Civil Rights Movement. These stories were false and peaked in the late 1960s. The report’s emphasis on the alleged links between Cuban communism and US civil rights protests is also unfounded, as few civil rights leaders have ever moved to Cuba.

Lack of Evidence
