A tragic accident has shaken the community of Grand Junction, Colorado, after a vehicle carrying five 17-year-old friends plunged off a cliff, resulting in the loss of all five lives.
The incident occurred late Saturday when the vehicle veered off the roadway and went down a steep incline along Lookout Lane. Authorities were not alerted to the wreck until approximately 7:45 a.m. Sunday, when 911 dispatchers received a report that a vehicle may have gone over the edge of a cliff.
Investigation and Community Response
Speed is being investigated as a possible factor in the crash, police said. The coroner’s office has not released the names of the victims due to its policy against publicly identifying minors. However, families and loved ones have identified the victims as Braden Taylor, Tristan Tucker, Titus Gould, William Simms, and Tyler Martinez.
A GoFundMe has been established for Braden’s parents to help with funeral expenses. Modern Classic Motors, a local business, has shared verified donation links for all five families and expressed condolences to the community.
The Grand Junction Police Department has also issued an emotional message, stating, ‘Our hearts are heavy following the tragic losses this weekend. You’re our neighbors, our friends, and our family. We grieve alongside our community and stand together to support one another.’
