Three people were injured late Monday night after a two-vehicle crash sent a tractor-trailer into a building on Kimberly Avenue in New Haven, fire officials said.
The New Haven Fire Department responded to the crash, involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle, at the intersection of Kimberly Avenue and Ella T. Grasso Boulevard at 11:49 p.m. After the collision, the tractor-trailer struck a building.
Three people were extricated from their vehicles and were evaluated for minor injuries, according to New Haven Fire Chief Daniel Coughlin.
The crash left the building “structurally compromised,” and it had to be shored up by the fire department, according to Coughlin.
United Illuminating were called to the scene to secure the utilities, Coughlin said.
