Northern Kentucky and Indiana residents are working to recover from a series of tornadoes that caused significant damage in the region. At least four confirmed tornadoes struck the area, leaving communities to rebuild amid challenging conditions, including a heat wave.
Rebuilding Efforts
Nicole Miller, a tornado victim in Williamstown, said, “It looks a lot better, better than two weeks ago. Making progress. Slowly but surely, it’ll get there.” Miller and her husband have been working between their full-time jobs to secure permits and begin repairs on their auto body repair shop, which was severely damaged in the tornado.
Nearby on Humes Ridge Road, several homes sustained substantial damage. Danielle Warner, another tornado victim, said, “When the tornado came through, we had two large trees take out the corner of our house.” Warner noted that roofing supplies for her home were recently delivered, allowing repairs to move forward.
