Two men in Titusville are facing kidnapping charges after a woman was held against her will for several days before escaping to a neighbor’s house.
The victim told investigators that Adam Copeland approached her on the street in early June and asked her on a date. She agreed, got into a car with Copeland and Dwayne Mitchell, and went to a home. When she said she was ready to go home, she told police that Mitchell punched her in the face, bound her with zip ties, and locked her in the laundry room for several days.
About two weeks later, she escaped and ran to a neighbor’s house, where she called 911. Both men were arrested and face several charges, including kidnapping.
