Hillsborough County law‑enforcement officials announced Wednesday that three people were taken into custody after a coordinated drug investigation led detectives to a residence in the Mango area and a hotel room nearby.
Search warrant uncovers narcotics
Around noon on Thursday, detectives from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a private home in Mango. The operation was part of a broader investigation into firearms and narcotics activity, according to the sheriff’s office.
During the search, officers recovered illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia. The evidence led to the arrests of Timothy Shamblin, 60, and Kristen Caroway, 37, both of whom were taken into custody at the home.
Primary suspect found at nearby hotel
Further intelligence indicated that the primary suspect in the case was staying at a hotel close to the Mango residence. Shortly before 2 p.m., detectives located and arrested John Sattler II, 36, at the hotel.
Sattler was already wanted on felony warrants issued by Kentucky and West Virginia. He was also charged with drug offenses in Florida. A search of his hotel room turned up additional narcotics, bolstering the case against him.
