Theatre Tuscaloosa is holding open auditions for its upcoming production of ‘Clue’ this Monday and Tuesday at Shelton State Community College. The auditions will take place in the Wilson Carr Rehearsal Hall on the Martin Campus at 9500 Old Greensboro Road, starting at 6:30 p.m. both nights.
Audition Details
The production, based on the classic Hasbro board game and the 1985 film, features a colorful ensemble of suspects, including Colonel Mustard, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum, Miss Scarlet, Mrs. White, and Mr. Green. Theatre Tuscaloosa Executive Producer Michael Walker is directing the production, which will run from September 25 through October 4 in the Bean-Brown Theatre on the Martin Campus.
Roles are available for actors of all ages, including the six principal suspects, the butler Wadsworth, Yvette the maid, and three ensemble positions that may cover principal roles. A full character breakdown is available online. Auditioners should come prepared to read from provided sides, although memorization is not required. An online audition form must be submitted in advance, and scripts are available to read at the Theatre Tuscaloosa Management Office, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.
