The Yard Gym, an Australian fitness franchise, is coming to Timonium, Baltimore County. Personal trainer and business owner Megan Monteiro plans to open the gym at 2001-2003 Greenspring Drive.

The gym will be the second Maryland location for The Yard, after one opened last year at 902 Commerce Road in Annapolis. The one-story building on Greenspring Drive was constructed in 1978 and renovated in 2024.
Pine Pep Properties LLC acquired the 12,170-square-foot building for $2.3 million and plans to use 4,200 square feet to open the gym. The gym will share the building with Baltimore Flooring Supply, which already occupies about half the space and will stay.
Monteiro said, “Greenspring Drive gives us the room to bring The Yard Gym’s elevated boutique training experience to life in Maryland. Baltimore Floor Supply is the perfect co-tenant, and we now have the opportunity to introduce a coming-of-age fitness concept built around structured programming, world-class coaching, an electric atmosphere and an unmatched sense of community.”
