Texas Vignette selected 60 artists from a record 233 applications that represented more than 1,500 works submitted from 76 Texas cities. Curated by Alison de Lima Greene, Isabel Brown Wilson Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the juried fair presents a broad mix of mediums, including collages, wood works, laser‑cut paper, archival pigment prints and photography. All 100 works on display are created by women artists, and 100% of sales proceeds go directly to the creators.
“I’m immensely grateful to all the artists who submitted work for consideration,” Greene said. “The depth of vision across the submissions offers a portrait of the state of the arts not just in Texas, but across America.” The fair is free to the public on October 2‑3, with a ticketed Patron Welcome Dinner on September 30 and a Preview Benefit on October 1 that includes meet‑and‑greets, music, light bites and an open bar.
David Dike Fine Art celebrates 30 years with a major auction
David Dike Fine Art marks the 30th anniversary of its Texas Art Auction on Saturday, October 10. The live auction will feature more than 350 lots ranging from early Texas works to contemporary pieces.
