Police in Texas are currently in a standoff with a suspect after an active shooter incident occurred on Friday morning. According to the Midland Police Department, officers heard gunfire coming from a building in the 4600 block of West Wall Street and quickly worked to secure and clear the area.
Efforts to bring the standoff with the shooter to a safe resolution are ongoing, said Police Chief Greg Snow in a statement posted on Facebook. It was not immediately clear whether anyone was shot in the incident.
