Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth announced the expansion of its Jane and John Justin Tower, including women’s health facilities improvements. The hospital will add four floors atop the existing tower, the top two of which will be home to the Jane and John Justin Center for Women & Infants.

Expansion Details

The center will include the labor and delivery department, a nursery, operating rooms and other care spaces. In relocating Women’s Services to Justin Tower, mothers will still receive the comprehensive and quality care they’ve come to expect from Texas Health but in a modern, comfortable environment with enhanced amenities, larger accommodations and stunning panoramic views of the city.

The bottom two new floors will be shell space reserved for the hospital’s future needs. Justin Tower’s additional floors are expected to be completed in 2029. The tower will continue to operate throughout construction.

The obstetrics emergency department, currently located on the ground floor of Bloxom Tower, will be moved to Justin Tower’s ground floor and have its own entrance. The hospital is also expanding its neonatal intensive care unit, or NICU. With an expected opening in 2030, the expansion will add 32 NICU beds, bringing the total to 86.

Additional Upgrades

The hospital is also building out existing shell space on the fourth and fifth floors of Justin Tower to add 71 patient rooms and a surgical trauma progressive care unit, expected to open later this year. The unit will serve as a space for patients recovering from traumatic injuries or surgeries and need care at a higher level than a general unit but a lower level than the intensive care unit.
