Texarkana native Michael Wacha has been named to the 2026 All-Star Game as a reserve pitcher for the American League. Wacha, 35, is a right-handed pitcher for the Kansas City Royals.
Wacha’s Career
Wacha’s first All-Star nomination came in 2015 when he was a member of the St. Louis Cardinals. He has continued to put up stellar numbers, including a 3.31 ERA across 108 2/3 innings in 17 starts this season.
Wacha will join fellow Royals All-Star Bobby Witt Jr. in the 2026 All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 14 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. Witt was voted in as an AL starter on Saturday.
