The Texarkana region’s place in lithium development is the topic of conversation at a conference next week. State of Lithium will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 15 at Texarkana Convention Center. Hosted by Texarkana USA Regional Chamber of Commerce, the event will feature panel discussions on lithium facts and the potential economic impact of industry built around the high-value metal.
Panelists and Topics
Panelists include Arthur Oduna, executive director of Venture Center, Dana Poindexter, regional manager of Arkansas Economic Development Commission, Southwest Arkansas, and John Burba, chief technology officer and founder of International Battery Metals, among others. The Smackover Formation, which extends under portions of East Texas and Southwest Arkansas, including Bowie and Miller counties, will be a key topic of discussion.
