The countdown to a new school year is underway in Texarkana, Arkansas, with the second annual Texarkana Community Back to School Bash set to take place on July 25. The event, which is open to families from all local school districts, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at Razorback Stadium, located at 1900 E. 18th St.
Event Highlights
The event will feature live entertainment, music, bounce houses, face painting, games, and interactive activities. There will also be opportunities to connect with local schools, churches, businesses, nonprofits, and civic organizations dedicated to supporting student success.
One of the highlights of the day is the free backpack and school supply giveaway, which will be available while supplies last. Organizers say families should arrive at 9 a.m. to give students the best chance of receiving a backpack filled with essential school supplies. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
According to Genia Bullock, Texarkana Arkansas School District public relations director, ‘The Back to School Bash is more than just a fun event—it’s a celebration of our students, our families, and our community. When our community comes together to support children, we send a powerful message that every student matters.’
CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System and numerous community partners, including local businesses, schools, churches, nonprofit organizations, civic groups, and volunteers, make the event possible. Admission is free.
