Water distribution maintenance has temporarily shut down the northbound lane of South Howard Avenue between West Morrison Avenue and West Swann Avenue in Tampa.
The Tampa Water Department initiated the closure on Saturday, August 1, to perform work on the local water distribution system. City crews have placed barricades and informational signs throughout the immediate area to redirect drivers around the work site.
Local officials advise commuters to choose alternate routes if possible and to exercise caution while traveling nearby. The department noted that lane closure configurations could change as the maintenance progresses.
The Tampa Water Department expects to finish the repairs and restore regular traffic flow by 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, weather permitting.
