Drivers in Tampa will need to plan for daily lane closures on West El Prado Boulevard starting Thursday morning. The Tampa Water Department is conducting maintenance on the area’s water distribution system, shutting down the outside westbound and outside eastbound lanes between South Waverly Place and South Drexel Avenue.
The closures will be in effect every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Monday, August 3, weather permitting. Barricades and traffic signs are set up to guide drivers through the work zone, and the city is asking motorists to consider taking alternate routes to avoid delays and to drive with caution in the area.
