In Tampa, Florida, Coastal Film Lab is contributing to the resurgence of traditional film photography. The lab processes color and black-and-white film, scans negatives, and restores old family slides, allowing customers to share their memories digitally.
Gen Z and Film Photography
According to employee Victor Rivera, the demand for film photography services is high, with the lab handling hundreds of rolls each day. Many of the lab’s newer customers are members of Gen Z, who are drawn to the hands-on experience of shooting with film cameras.
Coastal Film Lab is located at 1704 N. Nebraska Ave. in Tampa and is open Monday through Saturday. The lab’s services include developing film, correcting colors, and repairing damaged images.
