This weekend in Tampa Bay offers a variety of concerts and plays for entertainment. The biggest show is the Saturday concert with country music’s Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson at Raymond James Stadium. Allen Stone is the opener for what headliner Stapleton is calling ‘The All American Road Show,’ kicking off at 6 p.m.

Americana singer/songwriter Steve Earle’s never-ending solo acoustic tour stops at the Capitol Theatre tonight; tickets for the 8 p.m. show are available. Tonight at Skipper’s Smokehouse: Country singer/songwriter Sunny Sweeney, who also happens to be a top-drawer airtime personality on the Sirius XM channel Willie’s Roadhouse. She’s onstage at 8, and tickets are available.
It’s a double-header weekend at the Mid-Florida Credit Union Amphitheatre, with rock’s Evanescence with Spirit Box and Nova Twins Friday, and Latin R&B performer Kalis Uchis with Mariah the Scientist Saturday. On theater stages, the Broadway musical adaptation of Beetlejuice continues tonight through Sunday afternoon in Morsani Hall, at the Straz Center in Tampa.
Opening tonight at The Studio@620 is the rock/R&B musical Passing Strange, the story of a young man’s journey of self discovery. American Stage is entering the second weekend of The Hot Wing King, Katori Hall’s Pulitzer Prize-winning dramedy about a Memphis family preparing for the ‘Hot Wang Festival.’ The St. Petersburg Opera Company’s production of Puccini’s La Boheme continues with performances Friday and Sunday at the Palladium Theater.
