Swept Away Janitorial, a locally owned commercial cleaning company, has pledged $22,000 to support student backpack food programs in Northeast Arkansas for the 2026-2027 school year.

Supporting Local Students

The company has committed $12,000 to the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas to support backpack programs serving students in the Marion, Riverside, and Pocahontas School Districts. Additionally, Swept Away will provide financial support for backpack programs in Trumann, Harrisburg, Westside, and Brookland School Districts.

The backpack program provides students with nutritious, easy-to-prepare food to take home over weekends and school breaks, helping ensure they have access to meals when school cafeterias are closed.

This marks the second consecutive year Swept Away has partnered with the school districts it serves to help fund their backpack food programs, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to the well-being of local students and families.
