Sweet Lemon Kitchen, a fixture of downtown Georgetown, is expanding to the city’s new entertainment district. The new location, called Little Lemon, will be part of The Junction, a 60,000-square-foot complex under construction at 210 Blue Springs Blvd.
Background
Sweet Lemon Kitchen has been a part of downtown Georgetown since 2014, when owner Cummins converted a historic home into an inn. In 2016, she added a breakfast-and-lunch cafe, and in 2020, she expanded to offer dinner service. The menu features organic ingredients, house-made pastries, and locally sourced coffee.
The new Little Lemon location will offer a similar menu, including espresso, house-made pastries, and grab-and-go fresh fare. Cummins’ youngest daughter is now the head baker, running the production kitchen housed in the basement of City Post Chophouse, an upscale steakhouse her husband opened in 2021.
Expansion Plans
The Junction is set to open in August and will include bars, a live music stage, pickleball courts, and flexible office space. Little Lemon at The Junction will join other dining tenants, including Dough-Go Pizza, King’s Chicken Wings, and Shawarma Point.
Cummins said she wants Sweet Lemon to be part of a community, not just a shopping center. The new location will reflect that goal, offering a welcoming space for customers to enjoy their day.
