Support WA State Parks

Washington state vehicle owners can now show their outdoor pride and support state parks by getting specialty license plates. The plates, which depict a waterfall and a mountain range, help fund popular state park events and programs throughout Washington and King County.

Programs and Events

For every purchased plate and renewal, state parks receive $28, which goes directly toward programs like Junior Ranger activity booklets and programs for kids, visitor and interpretive centers, and folk and traditional arts performances. Last year, funds from the plates supported the Ubuntu Nerudo African Heritage Cultural festival and the United Communities of Laos Summer Festival at Lake Sammamish, among others.

To get a specialty state parks plate, vehicle owners can follow these steps: decide on the plate design, learn the initial cost, submit payment and application, update their Good-to-Go! account if needed, and renew the plates annually. The initial costs for plates with the next available number are $162 for a passenger vehicle or truck, $80 for a motorcycle, and $110 for a trailer.
