Sunny Skies and Warm Temperatures Expected in Northwest Arkansas

Residents of Northwest Arkansas can look forward to a warm and bright Sunday afternoon. After some areas experienced dense fog early in the morning, the skies are expected to clear, bringing partly sunny conditions throughout the midday and afternoon hours.

Weather Forecast for the Weekend

Meteorologist Damon Shaw reports that temperatures will climb to the low to mid 80s, with most of the area remaining dry. There is a slight chance of an isolated shower in regions south and east of Fort Smith, including Scott, Logan, and Johnson Counties. However, these showers are expected to be minimal.

As we move into Memorial Day, the weather will continue to be favorable with partly sunny skies. Morning temperatures will start near 60 degrees in Northwest Arkansas and mid-60s in the River Valley. While there is a possibility of an isolated shower developing in the afternoon or evening, the rainfall is expected to be spotty.

Looking Ahead

Rain chances will increase slightly to 20-30% on Memorial Day, particularly in the River Valley and Northwest Arkansas. The middle of the upcoming week may see a further increase in rain chances, as noted by meteorologist Cole Makos.
