Stellantis, a leading automaker, has announced a 10% increase in vehicle shipments for the second quarter, with nearly 1.6 million units shipped. This growth is largely attributed to the strong performance in North America, where shipments rose by 38% to 445,000 units.
North America Leads the Way
The significant increase in North America is supported by new or refreshed models, including the Ram 1500 and Jeep’s Grand Wagoneer and Grand Cherokee. The company also noted that preparations for the planned summer production shutdown contributed to the higher shipments in the region.
In the Enlarged Europe region, shipments increased by 5% to 762,000 units, driven by higher industry volumes. The growth in these regions was partially offset by lower volumes in the Middle East and Africa, as well as in South America.
