State Farm auto insurance policyholders in Louisiana can expect a dividend soon. The Louisiana Department of Insurance said Thursday that State Farm’s preferred customers with a private passenger auto policy in effect as of Dec. 31, 2025, can expect an average payment of $138 per vehicle.
State Farm said it will reach out to its eligible customers through email by early September asking them to select a payment method. Customers without an email address on file will receive their checks in the mail.
State Farm customers who have questions about the payments should call 1-888-808-9532 or visit sfdividend.com. The company anticipates payments will be doled out in phases through the rest of the year.
State Farm, which covers about 30% of drivers in Louisiana, announced in February it would cut checks for customers after seeing a boost in business along with lower repair costs for claims filed in 2025. The dividends cover more than 49 million vehicles and total $5 billion, the largest amount in State Farm’s 103-year history.
Payments to its Louisiana customers statewide are expected to total $136 million.
