St. Luke’s Health Opens $34M Rehab Center

St. Luke’s Health and Lifepoint Rehabilitation are set to open a new $34 million inpatient rehabilitation center in Spring, Texas. The facility, located on the St. Luke’s Health Springwoods Village campus, will provide speech, orthopedic, and neurological therapies to patients recovering from conditions such as stroke, neurological disease, and brain and spinal cord injuries.

The New Facility

The center will feature 40 private rooms, multidisciplinary therapy gymnasiums, and outdoor courtyards to encourage activity. According to Lifepoint Rehabilitation President Russ Bailey, the freestanding facility will allow staff to focus on patient well-being without additional environmental stressors.

St. Luke’s Health officials said the new facility will increase access to intensive nursing care for patients in the north Houston area. The center is expected to open by summer 2027.

Partnership and Investment

Lifepoint Rehabilitation, an operating division of Tennessee-based Lifepoint Health, has more than 45 inpatient rehabilitation facilities across the country. St. Luke’s Health is helping with the cost of constructing the facility, while Lifepoint Rehabilitation will manage the day-to-day operations.
