The St. Johns Cultural Council was awarded a $60,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The grant will fund the council’s Arts for All Grant Program, which provides grants of up to $10,000 to small arts, culture, and heritage organizations.
Supporting Local Arts
In the past, the program has supported initiatives such as in-school dance lessons at Title 1 schools, an Afrobeat musician’s local tour, and a photography exhibition showcasing female veterans. This year, the program will award a total of $70,000, with a focus on projects in underserved rural areas.
Applications for the grant program will open on October 15. The St. Johns Cultural Council encourages arts organizations across the county to apply.
