Two American sisters, Jill and Jan Shropshire, experienced a dramatic turn of events during their stay at a countryside B&B in the Midlands of England. The Incident

Jill, who was trying to unlock the door, accidentally broke the key, and the sisters were left with no phone and no way to communicate with the outside world. They tried to attract attention by yelling out the window and banging on the door, but to no avail. The B&B was empty, and the sisters were left to fend for themselves.

The Rescue

They were eventually heard by a Russian couple who were staying in the room next door, and the couple was able to alert the B&B owner, who came to rescue the sisters.
