Shreveport native Ar’Darius Washington, who will play for the New York Giants this year, recently hosted a free youth football camp at Evangel. The camp focused on skill position players in high school and was assisted by other Eagles’ alumni, including Jarrick Bernard-Converse and Micah Baskerville.
Giving Back to the Community
Washington emphasized the importance of giving back to the community, stating, ‘We come back, we give back to the community and we want them to win as a city.’ The Giants defensive back hopes to inspire the next generation of football players and show them that they too can achieve their dreams with hard work and dedication.
